The LCCA Board of Trustees

The Board of Truestees manages the business, affairs, and property of the Lopez Community Center Association in a manner that is consistent with, and in support of, the Mission of the Lopez Community Center Association:

The Mission of the Lopez Community Center Association is to initiate, coordinate and promote performing and visual arts and other cultural, educational and recreational activities that enrich the entire Lopez Community.

The Organization of the Board

  • The Board consists of no more than fifteen and no fewer than seven members.
  • The Board of Trustees is elected among and by the members of the Lopez Community Center Association at the annual meeting of the membership.
  • The Board's Nominating Commitee announces a slate of Board candidates to the membership at least seven days prior to the annual meeting.
  • The Board meets not less than four times per year and the annual members' meeting is held during the last quarter of the year.
  • All meetings comply with the Open Meetings Act and there is a specified agenda time for members' participation at all regular meetings.
  • Special meetings of the Board of Trustees may also be called by either the Board itself, the Chair or by a written petition signed by ten members of the LCCA.
  • The Chair of the Board prepares an annual report to the members.
