A significant "regime change" in Salish Sea weather patterns began in 2014, with stormier winters, more extreme precipitation, and longer summer droughts. We are now beginning to see the effects on everything from shoreline erosion, to spring pollination, and the timing of songbird migrations and salmon runs. Kwiaht researchers have been documenting the ways that birds, fish and other wildlife are adapting to our changing climate -- and how this will affect the safety of our homes, our water supplies, and what we can grow, harvest, and eat. This presentation offers a summary of 10 years of research findings, and forecast of challenges we must meet in the next 10 years.
