Please join us on Saturday, June 14 from 3pm-5pm at Lopez Center to celebrate LCCA’s Spirit Award recipients for 2024, Christa Campbell and Paul Henriksen!
Since landing on Lopez Island in the late 70s (Paul) and early 80s (Christa), these two have been an integral part of the community. From the early days of running Camp Nor’wester to the many boards and committees they have each served on (Land Bank, the Port, Hospital District, Historical Museum, the School Board, among others) to all the great events they’ve helped coordinate, Christa and Paul have been involved in just about everything on Lopez! Their nominators note their deep generous spirits, their diverse talents, and their dedication to supporting our unique island community.
The celebration will include speeches, stories, an award ceremony, and camp treats & refreshments. We hope to see you there!
About the Spirit Award:
This award has been given each year since 2000 to a Lopez individual, couple or partners who have consistently improved the lives of all Lopezians. These people give to the community in extraordinary ways: unselfishly, reliably, lovingly, with tolerance and integrity.
